Ruled by Biscuit.
TuxedoTyrant is an independent publication about cat behavior — written from inside a benevolent dictatorship. Black tie, white shirt, zero mercy.
The short version
Biscuit is a black-and-white tuxedo cat who runs this household with a brass service bell, a 5 a.m. alarm meow, and a stare that ends negotiations. TuxedoTyrant exists because of him — and for every cat owner who has ever looked at their cat mid-mischief and thought: why?
Every story here starts with something he did, then asks what science says about it. Because behind every "bad" cat behavior is a brain doing exactly what evolution designed it to do.
What we cover
Behavior — why cats knead, stare, knock things off tables, and scream at dawn. Food and the bowl — what is actually in the food, and what the marketing hides. Health signals — the small changes worth noticing early. The bond — the strange, lopsided love between a human and an animal that domesticated itself.
Our standard
Three rules, no exceptions:
1. Every claim gets checked. If we say a study found something, a study found it. No invented statistics, no borrowed authority, no "experts say" without the expert.
2. Strung with care, never bulk. We publish one piece at a time, and each one has to earn its place. No listicle filler, no ten-paragraph nothings, no content made to fill a calendar.
3. The cat comes first. No sponsored fluff, no miracle products, no advice we would not follow with Biscuit himself. If we are wrong about something, we correct it in the open.
Who writes this
The staff. Formerly known as the owners. One human, doing the research, the writing, and the serving of dinner — usually in that order, always at the bell's command.
